The name acrai comes from the city of Accra, a place where the consequences of the global fashion system are impossible to ignore. Every week, massive bales of secondhand clothing arrive there. Much of it is unsellable. What can’t be reused ends up in landfills, clogs waterways, or is burned. Seeing this reality made us stop and rethink what fashion should stand for.

Acrai is our response. Instead of chasing trends or producing seasonal collections, we focus on garments that are built to last — made with care, using natural fabrics, handwoven textiles, and plant-based dyes. Everything is rooted in craftsmanship, durability, and purpose.

We believe fashion should tell a story. One that respects the people who make it, the culture it comes from, and the planet it touches.
